Lantum comes to Wakefield

After successfully trialling Lantum to help run GP Care Wakefield shifts first, Conexus are now providing Lantum’s multi award-winning portal to all Wakefield GP practices. Purchasing access to this vital tool at scale is just one of the ways that Conexus supports general practice across the District.

We recently caught up with Dr Dimitrova from the Health Care First practice group in Castleford. She’s been using the Lantum portal for some time now and shared her thoughts:

Q. Have you used Lantum or other portals like it before?
A. Yes but have found Lantum the easiest and most efficient platform to use.

Q. What did the Lantum sign-up process involve and was it quick between sign-up and sorting invoices etc?
A. The sign-up process involved uploading various documents including GMC certificate, CCT, DBS and awaiting approval from the Lantum team. Some of them took a little longer to be approved but overall the process was fairly smooth and I was able to book shifts and create invoices straight away.

Q. What impressed you the most about using Lantum?
A. It is very easy to navigate around. I regularly use the Lantum app and website to book shifts, create invoices and keep an eye on my diary. Creating invoices is no longer a chore; you can easily and quickly create an invoice immediately after your shift and you get reminders and updates about payments so I no longer need to chase anyone.  It has really saved me time and as a busy GP, this is extremely important to me.

Q. What would you say to a practice that hasn’t used Lantum yet about the experience?
A. I would certainly recommend Lantum. Both the app and the website are great and utilise modern technology. I can see all available and booked shifts, as well as all my uploaded documents, at a touch of a button. This can save you valuable time looking through various documents and diaries to find what you need. The support team at Lantum is fantastic and very efficient so if you have any queries, they are there to help you 8am-8pm via the online chat.
