About the Confederation

We are Conexus Healthcare; a confederation of GP practices in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Formed in 2017 by Wakefield general practices, our member practices work collaboratively as part of our confederation so that we can:

  • Deliver Primary Care at Scale Services
We work together to deliver services at scale that are designed specifically within primary care, for primary care.
  • Deliver National Training and Consultancy Services
We support primary care organisations to develop and redesign care pathways to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes.
  • Support General Practice in Wakefield
We support member practice resilience and reduce costs and pressures in practices to enable them to deliver greater benefits for patients across Wakefield.

We are increasing the skills and capabilities of our Board with the addition of two skilled Non-Executive Directors (NEDS). In these roles, you will lead the organisation to excel across our objectives, working with other Directors and participating in committees.

Our Chair, Dr Shak Sarwar and Managing Director, Antony Nelson, are happy to answer any questions you may have or spend time in an informal chat about the positions. To request a catch up, please contact us. Application details are at the bottom of this page.
